If you didn't study an undergraduate degree course at university, then you can still have the chance to gain a degree while studying to become a qualified accountant with ACCA.
You can gain a BSc (Hons) degree in Applied Accounting while you work towards achieving your ACCA Qualification. The ACCA have a partnership with Oxford Brookes University. This means you can gain a BSc (Hons) degree in Applied Accounting while you work towards achieving your ACCA Qualification. And you won't have to double your workload. It is the perfect way to enhance your ACCA Qualification and broaden your skills set.
By gaining the BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting, awarded by Oxford Brookes University, you will not only demonstrate to potential or existing employers that you possess all the relevant graduate skills to equip you for a brilliant career in accounting and finance, but that it is from a university that has a reputation for excellence.
Eligibility for BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting:
To be awarded the Oxford Brookes BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting you must:
- Complete all ACCA Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills exams - including taking and passing Financial Reporting (FR), Audit and Assurance (AA) and Financial Management (FM) though you have been exempted from these 3 Papers and mandatory to get this Degree.
- Complete and pass the Oxford Brookes University Research and Analysis Project.
- Complete the ACCA Ethics and Professional Skills module according to the Research and Analysis Project submission dates.
- The degree must be completed within 10 years of the earliest date of your first examination pass or the date of your first ACCA exemption being granted. Otherwise your eligibility will be withdrawn. Hence, you have plenty of time to get this qualification at your own convenience.
Research and Analysis Project (RAP) – What is it?
The Research and Analysis Project is the final component of the Oxford Brookes BSc degree and consists of two separate documents; a 7,500 words Research Report and a 2,000 word Skills and Learning Statement. You are also required to give a presentation on the project to a Project Mentor.

Dates and fees for the BSc (Hons) degree:
Oxford Brookes University has two submission periods each year during which you may submit an OBU Research and Analysis Project (RAP). The submission periods are in May and November.
You are required to pay a project submission fee to Oxford Brookes University with any project submission. The Latest and revised fee details can be had from ACCA Portal.
